Everyone meet Quentin aka "The Miracle Dog". In August of 2003, 8 dogs that were slated for euthanization were placed in the gas chamber. When the doors were opened, Quentin, defying all odds, stood there, still alive. Quentin has since become a sort of celebrity in his own right, eating snacks and sippin Doggie Brew with the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Mary Tyler Moore and many others. Quentin's owner, Randy Grim, wrote a book about Quentin's ordeal and their presence and activism helped St. Louis, Missouri adopt a no-kill policy. Mr. Grim (and Quentin) founded Stray Rescue. The Stray Rescue of St. Louis is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter rescuing abused, neglected and abandoned animals and placing them in loving adoptive homes. Since it's founding in 1998, Stray Rescue has been responsible for finding adoptive homes for more than 5,000 dogs in the St. Louis area. Stray Rescue on the WebQuentin and owner Randy Grim will be making appearances throughout North Carolina April 9th-15th, promoting their book, "Miracle Dog: How Quentin Survived the Gas Chamber to Speak for Animals on Death Row." Everyone here at Toughpups.com applaud your efforts Quentin and Mr. Grim!!!!
